Bento Baon: Soboro Mosaic

Mosaic-style bentos seem to be all the rage within the bento Instagram community, so I thought I’d try my hand at it.I have seen more elaborately arranged mosaic bento; mine is a rather simple attempt since this is my first try. They usually have some soboro dish in it. For my mosaic bento, I used scrambled eggs and ground beef to show the mosaic style.Next time, I’m going to try to arrange the items more neatly, and maybe incorporate more dishes in the mosaic to show a nice pattern and contrast.

I decided to add a little bumblebee on the side, just to make it a bit cuter. The other items in my bento are  pork roll-ups with okra, simmered kalabasa (kabocha), radishes, and some broccoli and cauliflower. It’s almost the weekend!

    1. Thank you! The bee was a last-minute addition, and I didn’t have the yellow American cheese I could have used to make it. Oh well. Maybe next time.
