It’s really easy to get lost in your problems at times. No matter how hard you try to convince yourself that the stupid glass is half full, when you reach the end of your rope, you feel defenseless and vulnerable and all of a sudden, breaking those damned glasses seems like the only logical thing in the world.
Well, I’m here to tell you (and also to remind myself) to bend, and not break.
Writing typing these words makes it easier for me to heed my own advice. Also, I can always go back to this post and tell my future self, no matter what problem she may be facing then, that my present self, the not-riddled-with-problems-yet- self, at this point in time, is able to welcome the thought that good opportunities are always possible, whatever the situation may be.
Hey future self, if something upsets you, it is okay to be upset. Do not, however, let it destroy you from within. Don’t let it get you down too much. You can always get yourself some bubble tea or something or make some delicious onigiris, or watch this video of a baby sea otter learning to swim for the first time – those always cheer you up.
